Psychotherapy

I am an Art Psychotherapist specialising in working with neurodiverse individuals, particularly children and young people, and those who may be struggling to access education. However, you do not need to be neurodiverse to access my services.

Art psychotherapy can offer a more accessible way of exploring thoughts and feelings, especially for those who find it difficult to verbalise or make sense of their experiences. Through the creative process, it can support deeper understanding and facilitate meaningful, long-term change.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic thinking, offering a space to explore difficult and distressing emotions at your own pace. I recognise that each person is unique, and I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs. My aim is to provide a safe, consistent, and trusted space for children, adolescents, and adults.

When working with children, I work closely with parents and the young person’s wider circle to ensure adequate support. Where appropriate, I am able to provide written reports or letters to support school communication, referrals, or EHCP applications.

I offer sessions both in person, in my therapy space, and online.

Parental Consultations

I offer parental consultations for parents and carers of    neurodiverse children and young people, as well as for neurodiverse adults seeking additional support.

These consultations provide a space to think together about challenges at home, navigate the education system, and explore ways to support the individual to thrive. This may include understanding behaviour, reducing distress, and developing approaches that feel more manageable and attuned to the individual’s needs.

My aim is to offer a supportive, collaborative space where you can reflect, feel understood, and leave with a clearer sense of direction.

Training & Workshops

I offer workshops and training for schools, educational settings, and other organisations working with neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Training sessions can be tailored to the needs of the setting and may focus on areas such as understanding neurodiversity, emotionally based school avoidance, autistic burnout, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and creating more accessible and attuned environments.

I aim to provide reflective, practical and compassionate training that helps people feel more confident in understanding and supporting the individuals they work with. Workshops and training can be delivered in person or online.
